1990 Land Rover Discovery — a brutal, no-nonsense 4x4 built to dominate rough ground. Factory-spec hardware includes a heavy-duty ladder-frame chassis with coil-spring suspension, part-time 4WD and a two-range transfer box for low-range crawling, front discs and rear drums, steel wheels and all-terrain rubber. Engines were the torquey Rover 3.5L V8 or the workhorse 2.5L 200Tdi turbo-diesel, paired to a standard 5-speed manual (automatic optional) and a rugged driveline tuned for towing and off-road punishment. Inside: functional analog gauges, heater/demister, AM/FM cassette, cloth seats (leather optional), power steering, split-fold rear bench with optional inward-facing jump seats to carry seven, big cargo space and a rear spare — built to work, not to pamper.
